TOMORROW´S HEALTHCARE, TODAY
Since 2006, I have had the privilege of being part of the Hospital for Traumatology and Rehabilitation, where I have worked in the musculoskeletal rehabilitation section. During this time, I have led the vertebral deformities rehabilitation unit and have been actively involved in the management of rare diseases, such as collagenopathies.
On November 20, 2017, I joined Cap Clínic in the spinal cord injury unit, a team of highly skilled professionals recognized as a reference unit in Catalonia for patients with acute traumatic spinal cord injuries.
Regarding my academic background, I earned my PhD with honors (Cum Laude) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2012, with a focus on scoliosis. I also hold a Master’s degree in Basic Clinical Research from Harvard University.
Since 2011, I have been a residency tutor and a member of the hospital’s Clinical Research Ethics Committee (CEIC). I am also an associate professor at the Universitat Autònoma, teaching in the Physiotherapy degree program, and at the Universitat Ramon Llull in the Master’s in Health Sciences at Blanquerna. In addition, I am a member of the Scientific Committee of SOSORT, the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment.
My professional journey reflects my commitment to rehabilitation and research, as well as my dedication to training new generations of healthcare professionals.
