A fully autonomous AI system for accurate and reproducible Cobb angle measurement in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis: a multicenter study

Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) diagnosis depends on Cobb angle measurements from X-rays, but manual assessments are subjective and show high variability (≈4–8˚), potentially affecting treatment, follow-ups, and radiation exposure. Current semi-automatic tools still require human input, highlighting the need for a fully automated, objective, and reproducible system.
